With the sounds, the game comes up yet another notch. Is that your voice? You could be on the radio. The car still is not being redisplayed when I die though. The lamp post is still not working out for ya yet. Oh, and when I run the source code it does not run the same as the executables. Looks like we get a sneak peak at level 3. It is inside of a bar. The game seems to be part RPG, part adventure, and part arcade. Should appeal to a wide range of players when done.

Yeah, still working on the sounds. I didn't want to add them yet, and bog the filesize down (yet). I am surprized that you thought the voice was real. It is a 30 dollar, text to speech voice I found on the net. I really like using it in my programs. The sources, are named different. I forgot to change them. lvl1.b2d is different. Level 1 is actually lvl1a and lvl2 is ... ok great, i forgot to include it... lol... lvl3 will have the main character talking to someone from level 2. Basicly an mp3. I will upload level 2 source seperately, incase anyone wants it. rapidsharing.com/download.php?id=E64AD52F lvl2 source code.

I like the faster version of level 2 much better; both the music and the fast animations. It livens things up and gives a more "cartoon" feel. Things that are out of proportion are comic and maybe that's why I like the faster animations. Hey cool, I just noticed that if I play long enough it starts to rain nice variation. You could try to have some of the raindrops land anywhere on the grass instead of falling all the way through the screen. It might give a better depth to it. All you do is remove some drops that haven't actually fallen all the way down. To help the effect you could use a darker color (or a bit of alpha blending) to those raindrops that are "further back" in the screen and will disappear before they reach the bottom so they appear smaller.

That might doable. I just added, a test display to say the level has ended... Then an autogoto for the main character to walk off screen... Then the police show up as you are stepping off the screen. 10 soilders.
