Got an email from them with the correct info, but have been uber busy this week. Just tried it.
I took cmcs21.ocx and RevMDITabs.ocx out of the System32 directory and put them in the root Brutus2D directory. I MoleBoxed the two OCxs into the B2D exe and deleted the two OCXs and the original B2D exe.
It ran fine using the exe MoleBox produced. However, it only worked from the default install directory. Trying to move the directory to another location worked in the sense that the IDE would open, but it caused an "Error 48" when loading a file into the IDE.
I have not investigated further to see if B2D itself would have that problem or if the registry settings interfere, etc. But it does look like it would be possible, if we can find the issue causing this conflict.
Guilect, if you want, I can send you the MoleBoxed exe to experiment with on your end.

Sent it. I will play around later this evening and try doing a fresh install of B2D into a Sandbox, where I can see everything that gets installed and see if I can't get it working 100%. I will also see it there is any chance of getting B2D produced EXEs MoleBoxed, but I am not holding out hope on that one

Hi Kuron, I got the file and played a little with it. Get errors. Not sure but, it looks like only 3 files are getting Moleboxed? Brutus2d.exe and the 2 OCX's? If not already included, make sure the following necessary files are included: comp.dat error.dat exeinfo.ini Brutus2D.chm and the templates folder The B2D looks for all these things when starting up. Could explain why things work when in the install directory as these files exist there. Move the moleboxed version elsewhere and it does not see these files and can not procede. Cheers.

When I tried it from a different location, I was moving the entire B2D directory including subdirectories and all files.

I see. I did a test where I moved the installed folder (and sub-folders and files) to another drive. The IDE and code editor opened up as expected.
The B2D installer does nothing fancy. It puts the 2 OCX's in the windows system32 folder and registers them, then just copies the balance of files to the selected install directory. I looked over the code. All I could find where relative paths based on the location of the B2D executable. So it should not matter where the exe is. And of course the registry setting are just values stored under keys that should be available from any directory or drive on your system.
Still thinking about it...

Error 48 is "unable to load dll". But B2D is not trying to load any "dll". Maybe it means the OCXes?
Still thinking about it...

Just to note, I only get that error when loading code into the IDE. The IDE itself loads.
I was busier today than expected and haven't had a chance to look at it further, and will be fairly busy tomorrow, but should have time (famous last words) to play with it this weekend.
