Brutus2D has grown and become more capable than ever. As bug reports and new features have been becoming fewer lately, it appears that Brutus2D has become fairly stable, development wise. Therefore the next release will be refered to as version 1.0.
Subsequent updates are expected to be minor in detail and will increment the last digit in the revision (e.g. v1.1).
In the next release you will find:
added -- open file dialog added -- save file dialog added -- example of open and save dialogs to GUI folder
tweaked -- primative setline to internally handle non interger values tweaked -- primative setcircle command to be slightly faster than before
fixed -- finally, a bug in which directory source code would look for resources after switching tabs. hooray. this had been bugging me since the beginning. And of course the solution was simple once i realized what to do.
added -- example -- vector graphics example asteroids
added -- file not found error detection to sound.loadwav command
added -- graphics.GetAngle(index)
added -- example -- Timer
added -- example -- move in the direction the image is facing
corrected -- help section of Timers (command "SplitTime" was listed incorrectly as "Split")
added -- example -- shooter
added -- example -- retrieving strings from dll API call
added -- particle FX config program
added -- in BrutusMap the ability to load in a background image

I have finally figured out pixel perfect collision. This should make stevep and others happy. Also, I am almost done putting some finishing touches on a new command "CreateImage". This allows you create an image of some dimension in memory, then draw to it (using the primative commands for example) and then use this image like any other image that could have been loaded from a file. Additionally, there will be commands to let you draw on any image, either loaded from file or created like above.
