I am thinking about registering the product even though it is so early on in development. What is your upgrade policy? (For example, are all upgrade free? Or will you charge for each major revision?) I think Brutus2D looks very promising.

How Registration works: Brutus2D uses Online Activation for registration. This means that the PC that you wish to create exe's on needs an internet connection to complete the registration and program unlocking process. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ All upgrades are free for registered users forever! ;D An upgrade could consist of : - bug fixes and/or enhancement of the Brutus2D language
- updates to the user guide
- updates to the examples
- updates to the IDE
There is no planned schedule for updates. They will occur as time and/or necessity dictates. To update a registerd copy of Brutus2D to the latest release just install the latested version onto the PC that has the old registered copy. The newest version will now also be registered. If you have registered, and get a new computer or harddrive (or reformat), then e-mail me or Private Message (PM) me for how to re-activate Brutus2D. Include in the message the original date of activation (or about), the e-mail address that you used to register and the e-mail address that you are using now (if different). p.s. Thanks for the encouraging words stevep.

Hello,
I'd like to register Brutus2D, but I don't have a credit card. Can I pay via PayPal?

Hi Guilect,
don't worry, I understand that you want to protect your software from piracy. I just made the PayPal payment. Thanks for your instant answer and your kind help!

Hi Guilect,
Brutus2D is looking like a lot of fun. I ordered through paypal, I'm just waiting for the utility from you so I can run all the samples.
The one question I have though is can I install a second copy on my laptop. I understand I won't be able to compile from the unregistered computer but, will it have all the features? or should I buy another copy?
Thanks

No need to wait for anything on the copy of Brutus2D that you purchased. Once your payment is successfully completed ; that copy of B2D is unlocked and you can enjoy all of the features immediately.
The only time that you need the utility is if you need to re-install B2D because, for example, you re-format your hard drive, get a new computer, or the like.
Regarding a second computer: Just for clarification, you can produce exe\'s from any current version of Brutus2D, freeware or registered. Just the registered version has a more substanstial set of commands. So feel free to install the Freeware version of B2D on any of your PC\'s. As far as having a second registered version, I think that would be okay. I understand that some people have both a desktop and a laptop. As long as you are the only user. For registering this second copy you will need the utility. I will send it , probably later today, to your e-mail address.
Thanks for your support and enjoy.

I sent the payment to your PAYPAL email account. So my copy is not registered as of yet unless I did something wrong.
Thanks

I see. I did receive your payment.
I was thinking that you paid using paypal through the registration module. This would have unlocked the program automatically. When I had other wanting to pay me through paypal in the past the registration module did not accept paypal. So they did it the way you did. Now the reigstration module includes payment through paypal, so the old method is not needed. I have edited the post above to reflect this.
I will send you your utility program (later today).
Thanks.
