Whether there will be a support of a multiplayer in Brutus2D for example for creation of network games? P.S:Sorry for my bad English.

Hi, turanus. Currently Brutus2D doesn't have support for network games but maybe it will be added in the future. In the meantime I suggest you check out Basic4GL as several network games have been written in it.

Regarding multiplayer; I still have not given up on this. I have just lost motivation on it once I heard that Vista would not out-of-the-box support Brutus2D. (And now I have family member with health issue that requires 24 hrs care each day.)
Regarding Vista: has anyone successfully copied and registered the missing dll to get Brutus2D running on a Vista machine?

I tried contacting you at 2 different e-mails addresses, both failed to be delivered. Anyways, here is where I keep my backup copy of the file : brutus.pewtersoftware.com/upload/files/dx8vb.zipNote to self: The file is not really zipped. It just needs to have the extension changed from .zip to .dll

This is the error that I am getting...
The module "dx8vb.dll" failed to load.
Make sure the binary is stored at the specified path or debug it to check for problems with the binary or dependent dll files.
The specified module could not load.

make sure that you have admin rights.
Vista, unlike XP, disables your administrator privileges most of the time. In order to register the dll's successfully, start the command prompt (Start -> All Programs -> Accessories -> Command Prompt) as an administrator (right click 'Command Prompt' and choose 'Run As Administrator').
Then type 'regsvr32 dx8vb.dll' at the command prompt and it should work.

Ok so i got it to open the IDE and also the map editor on vista - but i think it will be easier to get to work on linux.
guilect - download "monodevelope" and recompile it, and it will work on linux and windows

Mono takes a .NET project and makes it run on multiple OS's. Alas, B2D is written in classic VB (VB6) and not in VB.NET.

Checked out your link, unfortunately they want $$ for it. I did use the MicroSoft's conversion wizard that comes with VB.NET. It converted some of B2D successfully and some not so. Somethings can not even be converted (most of the DirectX8 stuff) and would need to be totally rewritten. I have spent now in total about 4 hours looking at converting B2D to .NET, and that was enough time to realise that it is not a practical task.
For those with Window XP B2D is still fun to play with and learn some programming.
