What was your first real programming job?
Also, what was the first job that made you learn programming?

My first real programming job was for Scott Adam's Adventure International. I was porting TRS-80 model I and III code over to the Radio Shack Color Computer (CoCo).
I had picked up programming by going into work with my uncle. He worked for Digital Equipment Corp. I would sit in front of a teletype terminal while he did actual work. From there I took various courses offered at school.

Awesome! You translated Scott Adam's adventures? I loved playing those things. Oddly, the one I remember most is Voodoo Castle. BTW, I remember the CoCo.

Freelance web programming... very boring stuff... I guess when there is nothing much new to learn, it gets boring.
