I came across this a few weeks ago. Basically, it is a portable version of the GIMP graphics editor which can be run directly from a usb flash drive/external usb hard drive without the need to install it first. portableapps.com/apps/graphics_pictures/gimp_portableAlso, if you need to do any simple audio editting, the above site has a portable version of audacity. The site also has a portable version of the OpenOffice suite.

When it comes to 'Portable-Apps' this is the Site that I've been using. I used to use the Gimp for Image Editing but I stopped using it because I preferred Paint.net instead.
