Well you probably have noticed a very slight change in the looks of the forum. I added a dark striped background. Changed the links color. This is so as to better blend in with the look of the revamped Brutus2D home page. Check it out when you are done here. www.pewtersoftware.com/brutusNo matter what I put up for a website I know some people will like it and some will not. Oh well. I decided to go with this home page for 2 reasons. 1.) I was able to get it to work. 2.) It seems to be fairly secure. I tried (and I mean installed and setup) Drupal, Xoops, Joombala, phpNuke, Mambo, and about 10 others. I reviewed about 40 others. Because of my being a novice at php and mySQL as well as running an IIS box I had trouble with some of these CMS style systems. I got Xoops working but did not care for it. I got phpNuke working, but saw that it was too easy to hack (not by me I would not know how, but for others it would be easy). Plus I found it confusing. I could not get Drupal going at all. I looked into other forums too, phpBB, SMF, and others. But you know, this one is already established and has yet to be hack. All the other types seem to get hacked on a regular basis. So we get ready to start the new year with a slightly new look.

I'm not sure which link colors you changed, but now that you are working on it, I think you should change the link color in posts. I mean one (I at least) cannot see links because they have the same color as the text.
I also noticed there is some text which is black on the forum and as such cannot be seen now, e.g. the google search buttons and there was some when I log in also I think.

Text in posts is unchanged and is white. Links use to also be white, now they are green.
I saw the google text issue too. Not sure yet if that code is available to be changed. It is a toggle on/off option in the admin control panel.
[edit]: default code is not accessable, so I turned off the built-in google search option and inserted custom code that mimics the built-in almost exactly. Only I had to pick a custom image for google and I get to set the text color.

Wordpress was an excellent choice. I used them for years.
Make sure that you add a plugin to stop spam in the comments. I would suggest that you make a custom plugin that is a simple yes and no, that will have a question like "Did you type the comment?"
Do not put a question like, "Are you a bot?"
Also make sure to name any thing that you add with a wierd name, so the bot cannot predict that it was a plugin.
If you install a premade plugin, change the names of all the components and change the questions...
Again great job.

Text in posts is unchanged and is white. Links use to also be white, now they are green. [...] Could you change the unvisited link color within posts to green also? I mean one of these words is a link but you cannot tell unless you move the mouse over the entire text. It would help a lot if links inside posts somehow were visible (bold/green/underlined/anything) and not just the visited ones.
