In my usual way (now that I'm without my trusted laptop) when I want to go to the Brutus2D website i google "brutus2d forum" (the side-effect of bookmarks is that one can't remember the addresses ) but this time, to my astonishment, the top entry was b2dgame.wikidot.com/system:list-all-pages Is this a new site, and who is making it? I figured with all the text and ascii game stuff there it looks like hartnell... hartnell are you up to something?

^^ You should check out GDN again. There's been a lot of talk about the Wikidot Project over there.

Yup, I sure am. It's also why you haven't seen me around here lately --- I've been busy. Here's what's going on. There was a horrible problem with organization at the main wiki. Insert much switching software and moving around pages here. Finally, the entire GDN wiki has found its home at wikidot. Using the wikidot software, it becomes a tightly integrated wiki again with (get this) independent sections. The b2dgame @ wikidot you see I made before I understood how categories worked. Now, its been moved back to the central (new) GDN wiki here : gamedesign.wikidot.comThis is the last move. I'll shoot myself first and you'll have to take the wikidot software from my cold dead hands. You should have no problem finding the B2D section. -hartnell

how does wikidot pay for its web presence? Will they be introducing ads or a paid subscription in the future?

As I understand it, he's working on a "stealth ad system" where you will only see an add if a page is big enough. -hartnell
