Official support of Brutus2D by GDN has been withdrawn. This is not due to Brutus2D being an inferior language, in fact, I like it the most of the languages GDN has worked with. What's happened is that GDN had too many projects for me to keep up with by myself. So I cut them ALL. The project pages remain. There will be no cannibalism. GDN now has a policy of madmen support rather than creating projects because the GDN community is momentarily interested in it. I'm personally interested in B2D, so this is *probably* temporary. However, a bit more support from the B2D community would help. -hartnell

It sounds like a good move. Not that i want support for Brutus to be withdrawn, but rather the new idea of basically leaving it up to the community to see which projects will survive. I like to participate (and have done so a little), but lately it has been quite hectic on gamedesignnovice.com and difficult for me to maintain an overview. Also during the transition to the new website gamedesign.wikidot.com. However it now seems very well structured and hopefully I will be able to contribute again I do have some tutorials in mind (also simpler then last time.) I still find the old forum at www.gamedesignnovice.com a bit difficult to keep an overview and often I don't know where to post. Too many categories i think, and things seem to be moving too fast when one doesn't have time to visit every day

Well, who am I kidding? lol. All projects have been dropped, but of course I'm going to continue to work on the B2D project. But, right now, FB gets priority as I prototype xHacker and Core Prog. --hartnell

I've tried and tried and tried to make console text games with B2D. However, it's not nearly as easy as it should be. console.WriteLine just isn't anything like good old PRINT. I think that I'm going to scrap the B2D core prog as-is and work from an experimental STRAIGHT TO 2D approach, at least until console is more than an afterthought.
