I have a few questions :
How is B2D going to be implemented on Vista? Is B2D going to be implemented on Vista? What form will it take? .NET? Does VBScript //ship// with Vista?
I really need answers to these questions. Thanks. --hartnell

I suspect that if or when B2D was to go to Vista it would be via .NET. I have looked into this and the conversion is not trivial. There is the conversion of going from VB6 to .NET to deal with. Then there is going from DirectX8.1 to managed DirectX9 or 10. And the newer DirectXs are rather different from the old ones, its not just a matter of changing a "8" to a "9" somewhere in the code.
Like most of you I play with Brutus2D in some of my spare time. All of this work would then take quite some time to accomplish.
My suggestion for those running Vista would be to download the excellent and free MS visual studio pakages for C# and VB.NET. Use their full blow languages (not a subset like VBScript is). They have nice IDE's too. You could then use this prgramming experience in the real world too if you need to apply for a job.

I am aware that I originally suggested that JS support be removed, however, I wasn't aware of the issues with VBScript at the time and since I have fallen in love with JS as both a noob language and as a game development language.
I freely admit I was wrong on that one. --hartnell
