Whenever I try to run a Programme, I keep getting an Automation Error. I've Uninstalled the Truevision3D SDK that I had Installed because I thought that was causing the problem and I Rebooted my Computer. I then Installed the 'Run-Once' .dll File but when I try to Run a Programme the Brutus2D IDE stops on... TV.Clear It then Reports back... ** ERROR ** Automation error Any Ideas?

It sounds like the registered location of the dll has become mixed up (probably due to the SDK install registering its version of the dll). The uninstall might not have removed the dll or its registered location.
I would look in the windows/system32 folder and see if a truevision*.dll is in there. If so, I would unregister it, and remove it. Then run the run_once file and try running a TV B2D program.

^^ Good Idea. I'd thought about searching through the System32 Folder. EditWell I've removed the Folder which contained the last remnants of the SDK. I've also ran the Two Registry Cleaners that I've got installed on my System. I searched through the System and System32 Folders and even Rebooted my Computer. But no-luck.

here is a tool that might help. It lists all registered dll's, etc. start the program. Scroll down to the "tr"'s and look for "truevision8" you should have either v3.3 or v3.7 installed properly, "OK", or it will say "Missing File". If it is a missing file, put the requested file in the expected location as shown 'path'. Here is a screen shot of my system. I have several versions installed. But all are installed ok. register tool download link

Hmmmm... It looks like an interesting Programme.
But when I downloaded it, the Folder contained a lot of Source Files but no .exe. ;D

^^ I visited their Forum yesterday to see if I could find anything more out and apparently 'Automation Errors' are quite common with Truevision3D. But there's no single way to fix them.

Kind of extreme but, maybe consider doing a system restore to a day( or two) before the troubles started.

Ha, I've only ever used System Restore once and it wasn't much help. ;D Ever since then I've had it turned off. You never know, it might have been useful for solving this problem. EditI've managed it fix-it. I was searching through the Registry using RegEdit in the HKEY_USERS section. I came across a Folder called TrueVision8 which contained a series of numbers which looked like Screen Settings. I removed it, Un-Registered the .dll then loaded a new one and it works fine. Prepare yourself for some more Teapot Examples. ;D
