I get a Runtime-Error No. 13 whenever i try to load an existing project or try to create a new file (both, blank and from template). I think its just an IDE problem, cause the toolbar gets striked through.... Screenshot: img405.imageshack.us/img405/1831/erroros9.jpgAh, maybe i should mention, that i use Windows XP, DirectX 9.0c, both fully updated. I only downloaded and installed Brutus2D (tried Version 1.6 and 1.5.3. I get same error on both). Do I need anything more? I read something about Truevision on forums...do need it? Isn't it a 3D-Library for C++?

Hi ptrxyz, welcome to the Forum. You shouldn't need the TrueVision3D Library if you're only trying to Run the Example Programmes that come with Brutus2D. Maybe Guilect will be able to answer your problem.

I have an idea. There was a similar looking error about a year ago that robylu had seen. It had to do with the code window getting various settings on start up. The issue was that the setting was expecting a value, like 5.0; but because of different international settings, the value came back like 5,0 (notice a comma instead of a period). And the program would not handle it properly.
Like I said earlier, it had been fixed. But, I suspect that since I have added more settings of the code window that get saved some more error handling needs to be added.
I think you are the 'lucky' one to be the first to discover this on recent builds of Brutus2D.
I plan on releasing v1.7 soon (probably within a week), I will add more error handling in and we can see how that does. So just hang in there for a little bit.
