Someone that was wanting me to do some webwork today, heard that I liked makin some small games etc... so he downloaded some things that I had been working on with Brutus 2d...
Anyhow, Guilect - you need to get a copy of vista. You need to put an if statement so that it does not use directx 8 if vista is loaded (10)..
it is all about using directx10.dll or something.
Shouldnt be hard to fix...
cheers

The language that Brutus2D is written in , Visual Basic 6, does not have any interface to DirectX 10. It can only connect to DirectX 8 or lower.
I have had reports from people using B2D on Vista of a missing dll (DX8VB.DLL). This file is part of the interface between Classical Visiual Basic and DirectX. Microsoft has apparently left this out of the Vista OS in order to force programmers to abandon Classical VB and move on to the .NET framework. It would be worth a try to copy the DX8VB.DLL to a Vista machine and see if that takes care of the problem or if there are more issues.

You probably also need to register the dll, but maybe it works after that.
