The .bjs files are not associated with Brutus. The B2D are associated when installed, so i figured .bjs files also should be. Also, i think it would be a good idea to switch to JScript mode if the user opens a JScript file.
It would also be nice if one didn't have to quit and restart the IDE when switching between the two modes.

It does already.
You really don't have to restart the IDE, just open a new code window in the already open IDE.

On my machine it makes no difference if i open a b2d or bjs file, the ide is set as it was the last time i exited the ide.
However if i drag files to the "Tabs-bar" in an already opened editor, the correct syntax is used.
The menu item Program->use java syntax does not reflect the current syntax used, e.g. when switching between the tabs.
