meow, wow!
I ran the teapot and island programs.
And they are cool and fantastic!.
I just have a few questions for you both
Matthew and Guilect.
Do you guys plan to do some more examples and demos using the Truevision 3D dll?? And if you do, how about some mesh and model loading.
I don't know what models files Truesvision supports and/or their own propietary format..and which certain other 3d formats are converted too.
Like for example the teapot. Was that in 3ds?
I just wonder if it supports 3d models of 3ds, X, and even mdl and/or md2. Or even can convert these to a propietary format too.
Also, does Truevision 3d support any kind of levels and worlds such as BSP or any others too?? Especailly those Quake and Quake 2 levels and worlds.
And skies of sky domes, or sky boxes, sky cubes, sky sheres too.
Fly the friendly skies...and drive the rugged terrains too.
Also Matthew, what version or edition of the C# programming language do you use and where can I download it?? Also, are there any starter or beginner templates with using C# for Truevision 3d?
Believe me, this looks a whole lot better than 3D Game Studio. Both Brutus2d , the dll of Truevision 3d, and Truevision 3d itself.
3D Game Studio is powerful and you can do a lot with it. But, in my experience and opinion...its a pain to code and program in. Its not geared towards the beginning user or even the advanced beginner. Its more so for the intermediate user and beyond.
Beginner programs, demos, tutorials are few and hard to find.
But 3d Rad and also Torque versions using their scripting language is more of a pain.
Many cheers
also I'm wondering about True Space 7.5 too?.......
