Hello, I am not a programmer but I have read some programming tutorials on some websites. I want to learn more about programming.
I have downloaded and installed Brutus2D. I think that this software is good and intersesting.
Actually, I also installed Python, FreeBasic and ThinBasic. I think that these softwares are also good.
May I ask a question now? The author of Brutus2D uses which programming language to develop Brutus2D? Thanks. Will there be any plan to develop Brutus3D in the future?

Sorry....I have one more question. I have come across a game creation software Game Maker. Its Help document in the Game Maker directory can be downloaded from Game Maker official website ( PDF and DOC formats ). PDF format and DOC format allow the whole HELP document to be printed easily. www.yoyogames.com/gamemaker/docsI hope that the author of Brutus2D will make a DOC file or PDF file for brutus2d.chm and put them on the Brutus offical website. Thanks a lot!

Hi voach157... Brutus2D is developed in VisualBasic and DirectX. Your Brutus2D code is VBScript (or you can choose to use JScript) with some added objects that simplify game making, such as the graphics object, network object, sound etc. It is quite a smart idea.
Brutus3D is highly unlikely in the foreseeable future, but maybe guilect (the creator) would know better.

If a lot of people are using Brutus2D, the author of Brutus2D may consider to develop Brutus 3D......

Hi voach157, welcome. You may want to reconsider printing out the Brutus2D help, it is more than 625 pages. Let us save some trees and try to use the help in its electronic format. Brutus3D..., don't see it happening. Microsoft gives away its VB.NET, C#, and C++ compilers. There are Basic4GL, FreeBasic, thinBasic, and a few other free languages already out there. These, combined with all the free 3D engines available, makes writing yet another 3D programming language a waste of someone's time. Also, 3D is harder than 2D. The math for the user is harder. I have seen many people get turned off of 2D programming because it is not point and click, it takes effort. 3D content for your programs is harder to make or expensive to buy. And so on and so on and so on. As Brutus2D is now, you can do 3D via activeX dll's like TrueVision3D (examples are here on the forum). Give Brutus2D a try, its free. You will have to learn how to do some programming. However, knowing a programming language is useful. The members of the forum are willing to help anyone who might have questions that come up. Cheers, Guilect
