Nice way to make levels that look more natural than the squares that tile-based level editors make. I have tried it. It is not bad. It comes with complete C++ source code as well as a pre-compiled Windows exe. You just need to remember a few keyboard commands. It outputs to XML so the levels you create can be read into almost any programming language. There is a nice video on its homepage to watch if you are not familiar with this type of editor. Click here to go to editor pageI had made a simpler one of these for use in my Coding Monkeys entry Island Commander. This one is nicer. Another free one of these non tile based level editors is Gleed2d. However for this one to run you need to have both .NET and the XNA framework installed on your PC. www.gleed2d.de

That first engine looks really nice. It is similar to what i did with my u9 racer and also my space gravity racer which i gave up on. But that one has a lot of features, for example i think it is brilliant that the objects that are selectable at any zoom level are the ones that are a "reasonable" size. That way you can make really complex levels with small objects as decorations and not have difficulty when trying to select an object.
Very nice! Thanks for the link.
